Class Schedule

Aug. 13th. Classes run from 10:00 - 11:30am.  Please arrive 10 minutes early and wear loose comfortable clothing. Space is limited so please pre-register

$12 drop-in or $10 per class for 4 or more sessions. Class cards do not expire.

Kripalu Danskinetics direct from Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Lenox, Massachusetts, Kripalu Danskinetics is a form of movement that combines yoga and improvisational dance in a creative, easy, delightful way. It leaves you feeling like the dancer you truly are. Using music from all parts of the earth, this is a chance to love and celebrate your body and experience spirit and grace in a safe, joyous environment.

Yoga is also the foundation of Kripalu Danskinetics, developed 25 years ago by dancer Ken Scott and Kripalu founder Amrit Desai.  It's the most popular offering at its source, the renowned Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Lenox, Massachusetts.

"People just light up," says Kripalu's Nancy Bettenheim, director of the Danskinetics teacher training program.  "Everybody is a dancer in Danskinetics.

Typical class

Traditionally, Kripalu Danskinetics is meant to move through and open the chakras, a  teacher leads the progression from gentle floor- based yoga moves that incorporate stretching and breathing to easy to follow dance moves to invigorating free-form.  The emphasis is-at-your-own-pace, in-your-own-style.  Caution: scarves rattles, and cowbells may be involved (and yes,  skeptics will be won over)
