THE EVERYDAY YAMAS AND NIYAMAS, 3rd SUNDAYS, 3:30-5pm, 8LHC
The yamas (universal principles of morality) and niyamas (personal ethics) comprise the first 2 limbs of the 8 limbs of yoga as defined by Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras. How do we apply these to our daily lives? How can the yamas help create a healthy community, and the niyamas help us evolve as individuals suited for that community? Let us explore these questions together. Join our monthly study group at Eight Limbs Housing Cooperative Initiative (8LHC) at 2474 N Booth St (corner of Wright, 2nd floor). The discussion is followed by an optional potluck and 8LHC planning meeting. Free of charge, open to all.
Eight Limbs is a housing cooperative initiative based on the exploration and practice of yoga principles. Eight Limbs serves as a model of intentional living by fostering personal growth and community empowerment through sustainable practices. Contact eightlimbscoop@gmail.com , 414-372-4297, if you want to join our planning meetings, usually on Sundays 5-7pm, or want to consider membership.
